Chef John DiGiovanni literally has a Mickey Mouse education! A graduate of Disney’s Culinary Academy, he cooked his way through many of the premier kitchens at Walt Disney World. His contributions included being an opening team member of Citricos and working at Victoria & Albert’s, Disney’s only 5-Diamond Restaurant. He spent extensive time working special events at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa before becoming a Sous Chef at the Magic Kingdom.
John moved to Columbus in 2006 and spent a decade with the Nationwide Arena as Chef de Cuisine and four years at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium as Executive Chef. During that time, he oversaw the catering of the 2007 NHL Draft and the 2015 NHL All-Star Game, he was a guest chef at the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival in 2013 and was a guest speaker at the 2018 ROOTS: Innovate conference at the Culinary Vegetable Institute in Milan, Ohio.
Now as Executive Chef of Crew Kitchen, he is excited to bring “Glory to Columbus” through celebrating the city’s rich diverse history and its products, by creating and fun and innovative flavor combinations using proper cooking techniques and by developing and leading a world-class team in the many kitchens in this dynamic new stadium.
